Step 3 of 3
- Input
- JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF
- Batch limit
- 100 files / 250 MB
- Output
- PNG, JPG, WebP, ZIP
- Processing
- Local browser re-encoding
Example: prepare photos for sharing
- Input Sample
- A batch of camera JPGs that may contain GPS and camera tags.
- Generated Result
- Newly encoded image copies or a ZIP; source metadata is not copied into the new images.
Limits and Considerations
- Outputs contain newly encoded pixels. Source EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments, and embedded thumbnails are not copied. Basic format information such as dimensions and browser-generated color or resolution data may remain.
- PNG avoids additional lossy compression but can be larger. JPG and WebP may change quality; color appearance can change when source profiles are converted. JPG replaces transparency with white.
- Animated images become a single still frame. AVIF decoding depends on the browser. HEIC, TIFF, RAW, and SVG are not supported.
- Each file must be at most 50 MB, 40 megapixels, and 12,000 pixels per side. Input and output batches are each limited to 250 MB.
- Visible watermarks and identifying information in the picture remain. Original filenames are replaced by default; disable that option to retain a sanitized name. Your original files are not modified.
Bulk Image Metadata Remover FAQs
Can I remove EXIF from many photos at once?
Yes. Select or drop up to 100 images, remove metadata, then download individual clean copies or a ZIP containing all successful results.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Image decoding, re-encoding, and ZIP creation all run on your device.
Does this preserve the original compressed image?
No. It creates a new image from decoded pixels. Source metadata is discarded, orientation is applied by the browser, and the output is encoded in your selected format.
