The uploaded file format is already matching the requested conversion format. Compression will still apply.
WebP compression preserves alpha transparency channel presets. Converting transparent PNGs to JPEGs will discard transparency backgrounds.

Always review important output
- Intended input
- WebP
- Output
- PNG
- Conversion
- Browser canvas re-encoding
Example workflow
- Input Sample
- photo.webp
- Generated Result
- A newly encoded png image; the original file is retained.
Limits and Considerations
- PNG avoids further lossy encoding but does not restore lost detail; animated input becomes a still image.
- Conversion creates a new raster image. Source metadata and animation are not preserved.
